  • 4 Weeks
  • 4 Steps
Everyone who has completed all the steps will get a badge when the program ends.

About

VII. Detailing & Assembly (Freehand, Scale): -Understanding the detail drawings (larger scale for clarity). -Sketch detailed parts at appropriate scales. -Understand assembly drawings (smaller scale for overall view). -Sketch basic assembly layouts (scale relationships). -Represent basic balloon callouts/part lists (scaled details). VIII. Intro to Scaling with Triangle Scale (Practical): -Know common engineering scales & ratios. -Locate scales on triangle scale. -Estimate scale of freehand sketches. -Sketch to specific scales (visual & verified). -Understand how scale affects detail representation. -Relate freehand scales to CAD output scales. IX. Matching Freehand to CAD Outputs: -Understand standard CAD drawing scales. -Practice sketching to match common output scales. -Visualize scaled CAD from freehand. -Understand proportion importance for CAD modeling. -Briefly discuss using scanned sketches as CAD underlays (relative scale). X. Practical Application & Exercises (Scaling Focus): -Sketch real objects at estimated scales. -Sketch orthographic/pictorial views at specific visual scales. -Interpret drawings & sketch at different scales. -Sketch design ideas considering production drawing scales. -Sketch enlarged details for clarity. XI. Tips for Improvement (Scaling Emphasis): -Develop consistent sketching style with scale awareness. -Emphasize proportion accuracy for scaling. -Use construction lines for scale/proportion. -Practice visual scale estimation regularly. -Seek feedback on sketching & scale accuracy. -Understand freehand scale & final technical drawing scale for communication.
